Chazan Mic
hael Isdale has a lifelong connection with South Manchester Synagogue, having been brought up within the community and even celebrating his Bar Mitzvah at our former home in Wilbraham Road.
After studying at Jew’s College and then at the Royal Academy, he received his Chazanut Diploma in 1976.
As well as having served our congregation at Wilbraham Road, Chazan Michael has also served as Cantor at the Heaton Park and Yeshurun Synagogues, before re-joining us at South Manchester Synagogue upon our move to Bowdon in 2002.
He is married to Tanya and they have two sons, Jonathan and Adam.
